Ashley is a Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree from York University, and her Masters in Counselling psychology from Athabasca University.
She is a fully Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Level 2, having developed extensive knowledge and experience in helping individuals work through traumatic life events.
Ashley has years of experience working with a diverse adult client population, whose presenting concerns range from depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, chronic pain, anger, and self-esteem. She works within a cognitive-behavioural framework, while implementing aspects of solution-focused, and narrative strategies. In this way, each treatment plan is tailored to the individual client. Further, Ashley provides a safe and supportive space for the client to gain awareness into their thoughts and helps them to gently dismantle unhelpful thought patterns. Being a BIPOC female, Ashley is aware of how issues surrounding intersectional and non-dominant identities factor into a client’s overall well-being.
