Laura holds a Masters of Counselling Psychology and is a Registered Psychotherapist.
Before becoming a Psychotherapist, Laura worked and volunteered in the mental health field for over 10 years. We’re happy to have her wealth of knowledge and experience on our team.
Laura utilizes an integrative model, blending various therapy approaches to ensure her clients are receiving tailored care. Her approach includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
Laura is Certified in both DBT Skills and Anxiety-Informed Psychotherapy. She is also completing her certificate as an Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist (CAGCS).
Laura encourages and helps individuals to develop self-acceptance and self-compassion while also teaching clients about change-based skills, such as emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness. Laura is dedicated to creating an inclusive and safe space where each client feels valued, accepted, and truly heard.
